Peptide Label Template
Peptide label template: type it, pick a size, print. Free.
How to make a label in four steps
- Type a name for the vial. Keep it short so it stays big and easy to read.
- Type the date you opened the vial. The discard date then fills in, 28 days later.
- Add the strength and the concentration if you want them. This tool never suggests either one. Type the numbers from your own vial.
- Pick a size, then press Print. You can also save a PNG or a PDF.
Nothing you type leaves this page, and there is no account to make or app to install.
What to put on a peptide label
A small label has room for about five short lines. These are the ones most people use:
- Name. The name you call this vial.
- Lot. The lot or batch number from the box, if it has one.
- Date opened. The day you first put a needle through the stopper.
- Discard by. The day to throw it out.
- Strength. What the vial holds, as printed on the vial or its box. Pick mg, mcg, IU or % from the list.
- Concentration. Your own number, with its unit, such as mg/mL.
Labels here show what is in the vial, never how or when to use it. So words for a schedule, a time of day or a dose will not print. Leave off anything you cannot check, too. A label is a note to yourself and not proof of what is in the vial, so words that claim purity, sterility, approval or safety will not print either.
Why the discard date is 28 days
The CDC says to date a multi-dose vial when you open it and to throw it out within 28 days, unless the maker gives a different date. If the maker gives its own date for an opened vial, use that one. Never go past the expiration date printed on the vial. You can type over the date in the Discard by box. Read more in the guide to multi dose vial expiration.
Pick a label size
The three size buttons cover the common jobs:
| Button | Label size | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 3 mL vial | 40 x 20 mm thermal | Vials about 16 mm wide |
| 10 mL vial | 50 x 30 mm thermal | Vials 22 to 24 mm wide |
| Label sheet | 1/2 x 1-3/4 in, 80 per page | A normal home printer |
Under More options you will find a 40 x 12 mm thermal size, a 1 x 2-5/8 in sheet with 30 labels a page, and a custom size in mm. A 3 mL vial is only about 50 mm around. The preview tells you if your label will fit, and the 3ml vial label size guide shows the math.
Print on a sheet or a thermal printer
Label sheets. These work on any home printer. Pick Label sheet, set How many, and print at actual size, with the scale set to 100. Do not use "fit to page". Print one page on plain paper first, then hold it over a sheet of labels against a light to see if the boxes line up. The peptide vial labels guide has the sheet sizes and margins.
Thermal printers. These print one label at a time with heat, so they need no ink. Pick the size that matches your roll, set the printer to the same size, and turn off "fit to page". If you use a Niimbot, see the Niimbot peptide label template guide for its roll sizes.
The QR code
Tick the QR box under More options to add a small code to the label. The code is made on your own device, and it holds only the words on the label. It does not open a website, so a QR reader shows it as plain text.
Frequently asked questions
What is a peptide label template?
It is a ready layout for a small vial label. You fill in the words, it sets them at the right size for your label, and then you print it. The one on this page is free and works in your browser.
What is a peptide label maker?
It can mean two things. Some people mean a small thermal printer that prints labels from a roll. Others mean a tool, like this page, that lays out the label for you. This page makes the label, and your own printer prints it.
Can I make peptide labels for free?
Yes. This page costs nothing and has no sign up. You only pay for the labels or paper you print on.
How do I make my own peptide labels?
Type the name and the date opened. Add the strength and concentration if you like. Then pick your size and press Print. If you use a label sheet, test on plain paper first so the text lines up.
How do I print labels at home?
Most people use a normal printer with a sheet of sticky labels. Set the print scale to 100 and use a test page first. A small thermal printer is the other way. It prints one label at a time and needs no ink.
Can a peptide label show the strength?
Yes. Type the strength in its own box and pick mg, mcg, IU or %. You can add the concentration in mg/mL too. That is a fact about the vial. A label here never says how much to use, how often or when.
Is there a peptide label template as a PDF?
Yes. Fill in the label, open Download, and pick PDF. A sheet size saves a full Letter page of labels. A thermal size saves one page per label, at the real size.
